Tin city in the dunes

_aut0802
One of the other reasons to come, I been trying to find this spot for a while as well, a "city" of tin sheds nestled in the dunes at Stockton, but every time I was here to do a shoot, by the time we finished, the crew would be too tired, hungry, sunburned etc... to deal with my desire to go exploring in the dunes to try and find this "city"

This is so going to be one of my next locations for a shoot, and people still live here, it all started as depression era shacks, and then after WW2 they were taken over by fishermen, and still stand today, and of course, just as in era beach near Garie, the national parks are trying to find a way to get rid of the people that live here, which I think is unwarranted, these people live here, and look after the place, if anything some of the people living here should be granted beach ranger status, as a lot of people(tourists) move through this area, and with that they bring rubbish, and get themselves in trouble ( like me,bogged in sand, but I brought a shovel this time, and only took me 5 min to get the car out again, note to anyone coming here, not in a RAV4 or Nissan x-trail, they're not real 4WD and sit too low to the ground )

They all got their own electricity either form solar panels or wind turbines, fresh water is plenty from about 2-4 meters down into the sand

Just an awesome place for me to do a shoot, nobody currently lives in this shack, but I'm liking that dilapidated look
