The King of Ferns

EUR_9121sonnyOn the side of the road on our way back to the car ferry to cross the Daintree river, I saw this massive Fern Tree growing, and I mean massive, turns out it is called the King of Ferns click to watch a 2 min video explaining the history of the ferns and how it's stem structure used to be the way all plants were some 500 million years ago EUR_9124sonnyso this is a new leaf coming out EUR_9126sonnyto give you an idea of size EUR_9128sonnywould love one of these in the garden, but turns out they are not very common and only grow up these parts EUR_9132sonnyKing alright, as it looks majestic EUR_9136sonny
