Bushfires in Sydney
It is not usual to have bush fires in Sydney this early ( it is spring time in Sydney ) but then it has been one of the driest August's in the last 100 years or so , so it's like summer has started early ( what's next, 10 cm snow in Paris this week -end ?) To read a report on the bushfires click here
This image shows how strong the wind gusts are, and the proximity of the fires to Sydney ( close ) And Bendalong is such a beautifull region, shame, and then to think that there might be an arsonist at play here
Meanwhile, the beaches are packed with this warm weather, but here, everyone is on the beach, and not in the water as there are 3 big 6foot long sharks cruising just 50 meters of the beach, reason,a school of salmon just of the headland, and sharks love a bit of salmon ( don't we all )Read report here although they talk about 2 sharks, my man on the ground at Bondi talks about 3 ( 2 and a half then)
ok miss kindie teacher ;-0, but the reports I read, and saw on TV talked about it being the driest august, so the green in your garden is maybe from the burst pipe, hehehehe

Actually, we had a lot of rain in August - but we had some very warm days. There's alot of green about. The problem the other day was 33 degrees coupled with 100km/h+ winds, and no matter how green it is, a fire will eat up those conditions.
